PROCTORED EXAMS

Meridian High School requires students to take a proctored final examination in person, as determined by the instructor. Students are responsible for arranging a suitable proctor for their final exams. A proctored examination is essentially a supervised test at a location selected by the student. The student also chooses the proctor, who must be pre-approved by the Head of School. This proctor can be a teacher, librarian, or a community member who is not related to the student. The proctor will receive the exam materials in advance, supervise the exam, and return the completed papers to the school for assessment. To ensure academic integrity, the proctor must adhere to the school's guidelines for administering exams. The proctor is expected to provide a quiet, distraction-free environment for the student and to verify the student's identity before the exam begins. The school may also require a follow-up report from the proctor to confirm that all procedures were followed correctly. This process helps maintain the credibility and validity of the school's examination standards. Please note that any fees charged by the proctor for their services are the responsibility of the student. Proctors may charge for their time and any additional expenses incurred during the supervision of the exam. It is the student's responsibility to discuss and settle these charges directly with the proctor before the examinations.
